Hello! I am Ming :)

In 2021, amidst the pandemic and juggling a day-job, newly married life and living with my in-laws, I was inspired to paint non-living things coming alive and abstractly mirroring the relationships I have with loved ones, as well as those I observed of others. Through each furniture, food dish, or common household item, I started to document sweet moments and memorable milestones. Miraculously, many people started reaching out to say they found themselves reflected in these little beings as well. I endearingly call them “Things in Love”. Click here to view all of them!

In 2023, I also started illustrating the cosy life we have with our adopted stray cat. He is such a character. I want to remember all his quirks, his tender licks and warm snuggles forever, so I turned all the moments I could remember into paintings. This somehow then expanded into drawing digital artworks for friends of their beautiful pets too. It was such a learning curve and an amazing few months for me when I started.
